During a 50-miler

I had the opportunity to use the Salomon Custom Quiver during a 50-mile ultramarathon, where I paired it with my foldable Black Diamond Distance Carbon Z poles. The quiver was attached to my S-Lab Sense Ultra 5 Set running vest from Salomon as well.

I’ve tried several quivers, and I was impressed how easily I could pack, and unpack, my poles thanks to the broad opening in the quiver. Apart from the clinging noises, I couldn’t feel the poles on my back, which was a big plus.

During a 14-day hike

The same year I embarked on a 14-day hike, and I brought along the Salomon Custom Quiver and the Black Diamond Distance Carbon Z poles again. I attached the Quiver to my hiking backpack, the Bergans Helium 55 ltr… Yes, I love lightweight hiking!

Attaching the quiver to the side of my backpack proved to be a game-changer. With the quiver in place, I no longer needed to stop walking, take off my backpack, pack my poles down, and then put my backpack back on. Instead, I could effortlessly fold my poles together and slide them into the quiver while still walking. This was an absolute joy and made my outdoor adventure much smoother and more enjoyable.
