The Bonatti Waterproof Mittens are lightweight and fully waterproof shell mitt, which is ideal for races and outdoor activities in wet conditions.
I recently had the opportunity to test these gloves on an ultra marathon in Bornholm, Denmark, and during a hike in Kungsleden, and they did not disappoint.
During the ultramarathon, the Bonatti gloves proved to be an essential piece of gear. The opening on the palm side was incredibly useful for quickly accessing items in my running vest or adjusting my sternum straps without removing the gloves completely.
Most importantly, they kept my hands dry and warm – it was January.
The long cuff design of the gloves also proved to be great for warmth and covering my jacket sleeves, which helped keep me comfortable during the early morning start when temperatures were especially low.
Despite the thin and lightweight gloves, they provided adequate insulation and kept my hands dry throughout the race. The Pertex shield material used in the construction of gloves effectively kept water out and kept my hands dry even in heavy rain.
Later, on my hike in Kungsleden, the Bonatti gloves once again proved a great choice for a wet and muddy environment. The gloves held up well over several days of use, and I appreciated the ability to quickly adjust my jacket and backpack without removing the gloves entirely. The gloves’ lightweight design was also a plus, as it meant that they were easy to pack and carry in my backpack when not in use.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Bonatti Waterproof gloves for anyone who needs a high-quality pair of gloves for outdoor activities in wet conditions. Whether you’re participating in an ultra-marathon or embarking on a multi-day hike, these gloves are a great choice due to their unique features and effective waterproofing.
