As a runner, I am always on the lookout for the perfect running accessory that can help me carry all the essentials I need while hitting the pavement.
That’s why I decided to try out the Nathan Zipster Belt.
First off, the Nathan Zipster Belt comes in three different colors and sizes ranging from extra small to extra large, which makes it a perfect fit for a variety of runners.
I personally opted for the black color and size XL, and it fit me perfectly.
The belt is made of expandable material, which makes it lightweight and easy to wear.
The Nathan Zipster Belt comes equipped with four pockets in total, which is perfect for carrying all the essentials I need on my runs.
The two non-zippered pockets feature a fold-over construction, making it easy for me to store items I need quick access to during my runs, like gels or other fuel types.
The two zippered pockets, on the other hand, are perfect for storing valuables like credit cards and keys.
However, as you might have already read in some Nathan Zipster Belt reviews, there are some cons to this product.
For one, the fit is non-adjustable, which means that even when picking the correct size, it may be hard to get the belt on and have it fit correctly.
You can’t fasten the belt at the waist since there’s no closure, which means you have to slip it over your head like a piece of clothing.
This can be a bit of a hassle, especially when you’re in a rush and want to get going.
Another downside to the Nathan Zipster Belt is that it’s not adjustable, which means that once you pick a size, you can’t adjust the belt circumference. This makes it a poor choice for runners who are actively trying to lose weight. It may also be particularly tricky for runners with broad shoulders or large busts to get the belt on comfortably.
But despite the cons, I found that the Nathan Zipster Belt worked well for me. The belt’s weather-resistant pockets are a big plus, and there is plenty of storage space for all my running essentials. I don’t have to worry about my stuff getting wet even on rainy days, and I love the fact that the zippered pockets keep my valuables secure.
In terms of breathability, there’s not much need for it to be breathable since you’ll be wearing it around your hips or waist and not on your body.
However, the Nathan Zipster Belt features weather-resistant fabric for its zippered compartments and resistant zippers, which is a big plus.
The stretchy belt is meant to be worn around the waist, but I also found that I could move it lower down if I prefer. The belt is pretty lightweight, weighing just over an ounce, so it doesn’t weigh me down when I train. However, I do agree with other Nathan Zipster Belt reviewers that getting the belt on can be time-consuming and troublesome, especially when you’re in a hurry.
After using the belt on several runs, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, the four pockets are incredibly useful for storing everything from my phone to energy gels.
The weather-resistant material also provides peace of mind during rainy runs, knowing that my valuables are safe and dry.
However, as mentioned in other Nathan Zipster Belt reviews, the lack of adjustability can be a real issue. It’s difficult to get the belt on and off, and even when I did manage to get it on, it often felt too tight or too loose.
Despite these drawbacks, I think the Nathan Zipster Belt could be a good option for some runners. If you’re someone who prioritizes storage space over adjustability, this belt could be a great fit for you. It’s also worth noting that the belt seems to fit better when worn lower on the hips, rather than around the waist.
